Wayland Boys' Hockey Headed to Tourney Finals

WAYLAND, MA - The Wayland boys' ice hockey team has found it's way to the sectional finals of the MIAA tournament.

Wayland (6) scored seven goals Thursday night on its way to a 7-3 victory over East Boston (7) in the North Division III semifinals.

As a No. 6-seed, Wayland was the highest seeded team to make it to the semifinals in the division. Watertown High (13) and Shawsheen Technical (9) played to a shootout in Thursday's late game before Watertown secured the 5-4 victory.

Wayland will face Watertown Monday, March 14 at 7 p.m. in the divisional final.
