Wayland Girl Who Survived Cancer Center Of Major Donation

WAYLAND, MA — A Wayland girl was at the center of two major gifts that are part of a Stop & Shop charitable effort to fight childhood cancer.
On Tuesday, Wayland resident Chloe Marzilli, 9, was presented with a gift of skincare products from L’Oréal after completing her cancer treatments.
The gift was part of Stop & Shop's larger "Help Cure Childhood Cancer" effort. The supermarket chain presented the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute with a nearly $800,000 donation raised from customer donations at stores in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and northern Connecticut.

The supermarket chain's customers nationwide have contributed about $80 million to childhood cancer research, according to the company. The donations have gone to Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund.
