WAYLAND, MA — Wayland has reinstalled traffic restrictions along Glezen Lane, a change that was the subject of a lawsuit between the town and more than a dozen residents dating back to the late 2000s.

As of this week, drivers at certain times during the day will no longer be able to turn left from Glezen Lane onto Route 27/Sudbury Road. There will also be a sign steering drivers away from using Concord Road to get to the Wayland Town Center development. Wayland police will also begin checking to make sure drivers obey those restrictions.

A group of more than a dozen Glezen residents sued the town to make the traffic restrictions in the 2000s in response to the Wayland Town Center development. A judgement in 2008 put the restrictions in place, but the town removed them in 2015 to conduct a traffic study. The restrictions have been gone ever since — until this week.
