Lincoln-Sudbury Votes On New Superintendent With Wayland Principal In Mix
Wayland High School Principal Allyson Mizoguchi was one of three finalists up for the Lincoln-Sudbury job.

WAYLAND, MA — Wayland High School Principal Allyson Mizoguchi will not take over as the new Lincoln-Sudbury principal and superintendent following a vote of the regional school district Wednesday.
Mizoguchi was one of three finalists up for the position along with principals from Lexington and Wellesley. Lexington High School Principal Andrew Stephens was picked in a 5-1 vote, with one Lincoln-Sudbury committee member voting for Mizoguchi.
Had Mizoguchi been picked for the job, she would've been among a series of recent exits at the top of Wayland Public Schools.

Wayland Middle School principal Betsy Gavron is taking a one-year sabbatical over the 2023-24 school year, and Happy Hollow principal Tricia O’Reilly resigned in February to take a job in another district. Finance Director Tom Lafleur announced he would leave at the end of the 2022-23 school year, and the district has offered the role to Susan Bottan — a Reading Public Schools employee who previously served as Wayland's finance director.
There's also a shuffle at the very top of the district. Since Superintendent Omar Easy was put on leave in February, Assistant Superintendent Parry Graham has been serving as the acting superintendent. But Graham in July will take over as Lincoln's new superintendent. The Wayland School Committee might hire outgoing Weston Superintendent Midge Connolly to take over for Graham as acting superintendent.
