Wayland Hosting Opioid Awareness-Centered Art Workshop

An opioid awareness-centered workshop, hosted in party by the Wayland Health Department, will be held in Sudbury on April 12.

WAYLAND, MA - The Wayland Health Department is partnering with the Great Meadows Public Health Collaborative to host an arts workshop for opioid awareness.

The Wayland Police Department posted a news release that they're looking for adults with lived experience with substance use (opioids, alcohol, prescription medicine, etc.) in the region for an art-making and audio storytelling workshop.

The free, four-hour session is on April 12 at the Fairbanks Community Center in Sudbury (40 Fairbank Rd.). The project is a safe space for anyone impacted by the opioid epidemic and substance abuse, including people who have lost a loved one to overdose, individuals in recovery, frontline workers and first responders to share their experiences.
