Wayland Hunger Relief Organization Gets Thousands In Emergency Funding

Sudbury Foundation is donating $155,000 to support local hunger relief organizations.

WAYLAND, MA — A community organization in Wayland was granted $5,000 in emergency funding from the Sudbury Foundation.

The funding is in response to the SNAP cut resulting from the federal government shutdown. Sudbury Foundation announced the initiative, which will provide $155,000 in support of 17 hunger relief foundations.

“Although the local current hunger relief infrastructure cannot absorb this volume of need, many of our partners are working hard to do as much as they can and we are here to support their work.” said Sonai Shah, Executive Director of the Sudbury Foundation. “These emergency hunger relief grants highlight the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting local organizations addressing critical community needs.”
