Wayland Police Complete Special Interactive Training
A total of 24 officers participated.

WAYLAND, MA — Police officers in Wayland completed an important training.
A total of 24 officers from the Wayland Police Department finished an interactive, scenario-based training earlier this month, according to a news release from WPD. The training was completed during the week of Sept. 8 at the Middlesex Sheriff's Office Mobile Training Center.
The officers had to complete a series of video-based scenarios that replicated real situations, like traffic stops and trespassing situations. They also participated in an active-shooter scenario.

“Our Mobile Training Center was designed to give officers practical, hands-on experiences that are a direct reflection of the calls and challenges they face in the field,” Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian said. “Wayland officers were able to practice their decision-making in real time, ensuring they are more well-prepared to keep their community safe.”
