Patch: How long have you been doing business in town?
Mascari: Within one year of receiving my real estate license back in 2018, I hit the ground running completing eleven transactions throughout MetroWest and the surrounding areas. That spark was lit and I took the leap into going on my own with Compass, which to date has resulted in over $25 million sold. Living in Wayland for over a decade, I know this area and continue to be excited working with Compass, which is fairly new to the space launching in 2012. The mission of simplifying the real estate process one market at a time resonates with me and my clients.

Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?
Mascari: Working in corporate for over ten years in downtown Boston was an unbelievable experience, but as a new mom, the hours and commute were beginning to have their impact. When I was approached by a family friend who is a successful local Realtor® to join her team it piqued my curiosity. Naturally, I'm a people person and building a career around people, touring homes, and being a part of such a personal decision was the catalyst that propelled me into this industry.
I absolutely love meeting new clients, touring beautiful properties, and helping people fulfill their dreams and live their best lives. This is such an intimate and personal job. I love getting to know my clients on a deeper level.
Patch: Do you have a specialty or niche market when it comes to your work in real estate?
Mascari: I always prioritize my clients needs and work in their best interest. I value the relationships built with my clients for the years to come from their first condo purchase, single family home and beyond. MetroWest and homes that fall between the $800,000 to $2.5 million are my speciality. Many of my clients are families that have outgrown their first homes and are now looking for additional space to accommodate their growing families, careers, and dream lives they are building.
Patch: If you had to sum up your approach to real estate in four words, what would those words be?
Mascari: Energetic, Efficient, Effective, and Customized. If I can throw in two more, warm, and witty — my clients enjoy the experience and personalization that I offer.

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced as a real estate agent?
Mascari: Right now the industry is saturated with incoming agents due to the low price of entry to start, and although between the newcomers and seasoned agents who have dominated the market for years, I've managed to make my own waves. Through hard work and a love to constantly learn, adjust and grow, my clients are reaping the benefits as their homes sell and they purchase their forever home. Once clients experience the exceptional service and recognize the skill that sets apart my approach from the pack, they love sharing my name with friends and family who value honesty, hard work, and a personable agent.
Patch: Is there a real estate deal over the span of your career that you have been most proud of?
Mascari: So many to share!
I was working with a family that I helped move from Silicon Valley back to MetroWest after 15 years. They purchased a $2.25 million property with me, without ever stepping a foot on the property during COVID-19. It was a competitive deal, extremely difficult negotiations over four days, and many sleepless nights until the deal closed. My dedication to ensure this deal happened for my clients resulted in their satisfaction and my appreciation for the tremendous amount of trust, communication, and loyalty between them and myself.
Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?
Mascari: Hard to name one thing, especially in this competitive market … Telling a client their offer was accepted, calling a seller and telling them we received multiple over-ask offers on their home, moving family and friends closer to one another, fulfilling a lifelong dream of homeownership. Passing on homes from one generation to the next. There are really a lot of beautiful things about real estate and I am so glad to be a small part of these large milestones for so many. Building my client base and working with families that trust me is crucial — when I get that call to help a friend of a client it makes me smile and lights that spark all over again.
Patch: How do your techniques, strategies and services distinguish themselves from the competition?
Mascari: Working for a Fortune 100 company for a decade prepared me for the strategic thinking, fast paced mentality, and ability to pivot quickly — all skills that real estate agents need to have. The market is constantly changing, the strategies that worked years ago aren't as effective — this is why my fresh perspective has garnered amazing reviews and I'm honored to have worked with some of the best clients. I enjoy working with years of experience agents so I can learn from them and blend their experience with my own knowledge in the current business environment. Utilizing technology to my advantage to deliver what today's buyers and sellers need and want while viewing those desires from a holistic perspective rather than a real estate silo.
Patch: Do you have any advice for readers who are currently in the process of buying or selling a home?
Mascari: Everyone has options on who they decide to work with and the experience you want to have within the process. Interview several Realtors® before you make the final decision to work with someone, everyone is different in their approach, strengths, and the personality that matches with your needs. Buying and selling is a very intimate experience, ensuring you find someone that really connects and vibes is imperative — you will need to work with an agent that listens to you and who you can trust.
For me, I find that the smoothest transactions start with a good working relationship between me and the client.
Patch: Do you have any upcoming open houses or events in your community?
Mascari: I am a HUGE supporter of local businesses and events so there is always something going on and you can always find me bopping around town or on the soccer field, enjoying take-out pizza at town beach or sitting at the bar at Coach Grill. This weekend I am sponsoring a Wayland School of Music event in the town center.
Community-wise I have volunteered on the Wayland Children's Parents Association for four years on the board committee and am a platinum sponsor. I also love supporting the Wayland Dad’s Club. I also support Wayland Town of Music, March of Dimes, Boston Children's Hospital, Wayland Public Schools, and the “Woman of Wayland” podcast.
Something very personal to me that I share with my clients is that a percent of each one of my closings goes to the educational and emotional support of my sponsor child Jarolir in the Dominican Republic. We exchange letters, pictures, art, and small items we can mail easily. Helping my clients allows me to support someone else's dreams.
Patch: How can Patch readers learn more about your work and business?
