Wayland Resident Honored With ALS Association Leadership Award

WAYLAND, MA — In February, the ALS Association held its annual Leadership Conference, which brings together leaders from the 39 chapters across the country. The event, held in Irvine, CA, is held to share ideas and to collaborate and also honors several heroes living with ALS.

The Chapter Innovation Awards were presented on the first day of the conference, the third year these were presented, said ALS in its announcement.

Wayland's Stephen Winthrop, who has had ALS since 2013, received the Hero Award for the Massachusetts chapter.
