Wayland Veterans Day 2025: Outdoor Ceremony
Here's how Wayland plans to honor those who served.
WAYLAND, MA — Veterans Day is Tuesday, Nov. 11, and Wayland has plans to celebrate in 2025.
Wayland will honor those who served with an Outdoor Veterans Ceremony at 11 a.m. The event will take place at Veterans Memorial, at Town Building, 41 Cochituate Rd.

- Performance of the National Anthem sung by Maggie Agyeman, along with the posting of colors and saluting the flag.
- Richard P. Turner, USN Retired, Chair of the Public Ceremonies Committee, and Purple Heart Recipient and Select Board member Anne Brensley to give welcoming remarks.
- LTC Rueben T. Joseph, Product Manager at Force Sustainment Systems of the U.S. Army Soldier System Center in Natick, will give this year's keynote address.
- Wayland’s Freedom Prize will be awarded to Cadet Graham Henrich, who currently attends the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY.
- Wayland High School Honors Trumpet Trio Noa Ferdman, Nishanth Bangalore, and Joe Oneschuk will perform followed by a reading of the names of Wayland residents who died while serving
- The American Legion Post #133 Rifle Salute
- Wreath-laying ceremony and playing of Echo Taps by members of Wayland High School
- Concludes with the Benediction.
