Wayland Warns Of 'Less Common' Uptick In Flu Cases
Flu season typically drops off in the spring months, but the Wayland Health Department is seeing cases rise in schools and across town.

WAYLAND, MA — The Wayland Health Department is warning residents about an increase in influenza cases across town and in schools during a time of year when flu cases typically decline.
Typically, flu season starts in late fall and lasts through early spring when temperatures begin to rise.
"As flu is less common this time of year, we want everyone to be mindful of this increased communicable illness within our community. If you have fever with cough or sore throat, you may have the flu. If you think you have the flu, stay home from work and school and avoid contact with others so you do not spread the virus," the health department said in a bulletin this week.
