Wayland, Weston Police Host Self-Defense Class For Women

The Adult Women's RAD Class will be held in October.

WAYLAND, MA — The Wayland and Weston Police Departments have announced they will be holding a self-defense class for women.

The Adult Women's RAD Class will be held in October. RAD is a self-defense program for women that teaches the basic concepts of physical safety, according to the police departments.

The program will include four classes on Oct. 27, Oct. 29, Nov. 3 and Nov. 5. Attendance is required each night.

The last night of class will be interactive simulations and scenarios. Participants will get to practice and apply the skills they learned.

You can sign up online here or by emailing tcastagno@wayland.ma/us. The deadline to register is Oct. 20 or until the class is full.
