Truck Flips Onto Car On Rte. 128 - Heavy Traffic Delays Expected

Massachusetts State Troopers confirm no one was seriously injured in the rollover crash, but added that "delays may be lengthy."

WELLESLEY, MA — A truck flipped over onto a car on Route 128 in Wellesley near the Newton line Tuesday afternoon, but luckily - no one was seriously hurt, police said.

Wellesley police shared pictures of the crash, showing a white truck on its side crushing the hood of a white sedan which was now facing the wrong direction on the northbound side of the highway.

Only minor injuries came from the crash, and Massachusetts State Police confirmed that no one was seriously hurt.

The crash closed every lane but one, creating a pileup of traffic. Significant delays are expected as a heavy-duty tow truck was needed to clear the truck. "Delays may be lengthy," Massachusetts State Police said in a post on Twitter.

It is unclear what caused the truck to flip over, and police are investigating the crash.
