Animal Control Saves Swan Caught In Net In Westborough

Animal control came to the rescue of a swan that was ensnared in a net.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—This swan's song was a scary one when the bird got caught in a fishing net with weights in a Westborough lake.

It appeared, said police, that the swan was unable to eat for some time due to the netting. The swan was captured on May 4 and brought to Tufts Wildlife Clinic in Grafton.

The swan survived and Animal Control in Westborough will release it back to the wild after state approval.
