Arrests For OUI, Racing: Westborough Police
Police spotted two cars that were apparently racing near an intersection.

WESTBOROUGH, MA—Westborough police reported two arrests that occurred within the past week.
Around 2:45 a.m. on May 17, Westborough Officer Cibotti spotted a car headed east on Route 9 who didn't stop at a stop sign, turning onto East Main Street.
The driver then made multiple marked lanes violations, at which time Cibotti pulled the car over on Thomas Newton Drive.

Officer Leung arrived on scene to assist. After an investigation, the operator, identified as Gabirel Sampaio, was charged with the following offenses:
1. Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol
2. Negligent operation of a motor vehicle
3. Marked lanes violation
4. Failure to stop for a stop sign

On May 21, Officer Atchue was at the intersection of Route 9 and Otis St. at approximately 1:10 a.m. and saw two vehicles speeding on Route 9. He stopped one of the cars near Dunkin Donuts.
The operator identified as Herschel Schneider of Ashland was charged with the following:
1. Racing a Motor Vehicle
2. Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle
3. Speeding (90 plus in a posted 55)
The passenger of the vehicle, identified as Sergio Gonzalez, was found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest out of Lawrence District Court for various charges including: Breaking and entering in the nighttime, larceny over $1200, and malicious destruction of property over $1200.
