Help Fight Cancer: Donate $1 at Burger King

It's Thursday, and that means we've put together this list of things going on in Westborough to help make your day a little brighter, easier and more fun. For a full list of things to do this week, look at the Patch calendar of events.

1. Support the fight against cancer: visit the Westborough Burger King.

Customers at the Burger King on Route 9 in Westborough can support the fight against cancer by donating $1 there from now until July 29, Burger King officials said Wednesday in a press release. 

The proceeds will support the Jimmy Fund through the "A Chance for Kids and Families" program. The Westborough Burger King is among the Burger Kings in six New England states and Metro New York participating in the program.

2. Hear folk music.

Catch folk singer Gail Finney at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Westborough Public Library.

3. Wanted: Youth Commission adult member.

The Westborough Youth Commission seeks an adult member, according to the town website. For more information, contact Director John Badenhausen at 508-366-3090 or jbadenhausen@town.westborough.ma.us.

4. Weigh in on Chick-fil-A.
