Westborough Employee Excellence Award Goes To Teen Librarian

WESTBOROUGH, MA—The Employee Excellence Award committee announced that it presented this award to Jen McGrath, Westborough library's teen librarian.

Nominations received for Jen expressed that she “surpasses expectations” by putting in extra time and effort into the teen programming. “Jen is limited by a one room area to provide all the services she provides – homework help, books, video game playing, and a place to play cards, to name a few. However, this does not deter Jen; she is constantly looking to make the space more teen friendly."

Also according to the announcements, nominations further recognized Jen stating “You can just see from speaking with Jen how much she loves what she does” and further that “Jen embodies all that librarians and library paraprofessionals are – approachable, creative, helpful, enthusiastic, passionate, and outgoing.”
