Westborough Spring Hazardous Waste Day Coming Up
The town's spring-cleaning collection will accept a variety of noxious stuff, from pool chemicals to paint.
WESTBOROUGH, MA — Westborough will hold a free hazardous waste drop-off event in March, giving residents the opportunity to get rid of everything from pool chemicals to antifreeze to unwanted propane tanks.
The March 18 event will run from 7:30 a.m. to noon at the public works facility at 133 Oak St. Anyone who attends will need to bring proof of residency.
There's a long list of items that will be accepted, everything from mothballs to furniture stripper. See the full list of items here.

Here's a list of items the town WILL NOT accept during the collection:
- Latex paint
- Appliances
- Biological waste
- Explosives, including fireworks
- Radioactive materials
- Smoke detectors
- Empty aerosol cans
- Prescription medications
- PCBs
- Regular household garbage
- Ammunition
- Septic tank waste
- Tires
- Sand
- Construction debris
