Why Do You March For Your Life? Westborough Stories

Westborough readers share with Patch why it's important to join the "March for Our Lives."

WESTBOROUGH, MA—The March for Our Lives takes place at noon on Saturday all around the country in a multitude of cities, namely Washington D.C. Locally, while there is a march at Worcester City Hall, many from Massachusetts head to the Boston Common as part of the nationwide cry to demand tighter gun controls and school safety.

The shooting that killed 17 at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School inspired the march, which is covered live by Patch.

Westborough residents headed out of the march, and we're sharing their stories on Patch. Email charlene.arsenault@patch.com, and we'll update your feedback, and photos, right here.

"My wife Amy and I are high school classmates and graduated in Muskegon Michigan in 1984. We’re 53. We are rendezvousing with two other classmates, one coming from Vermont, the other from Portland and meeting for the March in Ipswich. We thought maybe we could show solidarity in numbers after all these years. Students now should be as safe as we were." - Jon McEwen, Westborough
