Westford Condo Sales Up Significantly in October

The Warren Group reports that October condominium sales in Westford shot up by more than 100 percent between 2011 and 2012.

October was a strong month for home sales in Massachusetts, and a strong month for condominium sales here in Westford.

According to the Warren Group, a real estate analysis organization out of Boston, Westford saw nine condominium sales in October, more than twice as many as October 2011, continuing a trend that has seen condominium sales spike 53 percent overall so far this year compared to the first ten months of 2011.

While non-condominium sales saw a slight dip in town this month, the trend there also echoes the state trend, up 34 percent to date this year compared to last year.

“Home sales for the first 10 months of the year have already surpassed sales in all of 2011,” said The Warren Group CEO Timothy M. Warren Jr. “Record low mortgage rates, an improved economy and growing consumer confidence are boosting the housing market in Massachusetts and around the country.”
