5 Things: Meetings Tonight, Basketball and Free Pancakes
A few things you need to know on Feb. 5, 2013, in Weston.

1. Meetings Today. There are many, many meetings today, several of which are scheduled to occur this morning. Check out the Town of Weston calendar for full details. The Weston School Committee Budget Subcommittee, the Recreation Commission, the Board of Assessors, the Planning Board and a meeting about Case's Corner plans are among those scheduled.
2. Walking Group. The Brisk Walking Group will leave from Ye Olde Cottage Restaurant at 8:30 a.m.
3. Did You See This? Regis College has a new athletic director.

4. Wildcat Basketball. The varsity girls' basketball team will take on Newton South High School tonight at the Weston High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
5. National Pancake Day! Starting your Tuesday with a stack of pancakes is good; starting your Tuesday with a FREE stack of pancakes is even better. IHOP is giving away pancakes today in honor of National Pancake Day. Your short stack of flapjacks is free, but IHOP accepts donations for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals or another local charity. The nearest IHOPs to Wayland are in Brighton and Dedham ... so perhaps a stop on your way to work?
