Peace Vigil Marks 10th Anniversary of Afghanistan War

Weston's grass roots peace group will be marking the 10th anniversary of the War in Afghanistan from 11 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8.

Please join us at the Flower Pot island at the intersection of Boston Post Road and Church Streets.

We have been holding these weekly vigils for peace since 2001.  Some of us have passed on, some can no longer stand for an half hour, and we have welcomed many new people who come out to stand for peace and enjoy each other's company.

If you are unable to stand with us but wish to show your support, please know that we so appreciate every honk of the horn, every thumbs up and every peace sign from passers-by, and there are always many.

Most Americans want our government to bring our troops home now. Please take a few minutes to contact our elected representatives, and especially our president, to let them know it's time to do so.
