It's time again this year for the fifth annual Scarecrow Making Event, sponsored by the Community League Garden Club of Weston, and with help from Land's Sake Farm, Ogilvie's and the town of Weston.
Sign up for the content on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 9 a.m. to noon. Judging will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 6.

Individuals - Grades K-3, 4 and 5, 6-8, 9-12 and adults
Teams - Grades K-5, 6-8, 9-12 and adults (neighborhoods, clubs, Scouts, sports teams, businesses, organizations, etc.)

On Saturday, Oct. 2, for sign up, participants should:
1. Get the materials for making a scarecrow (straw, stakes, bags, tags) and the instructions about how and when to plant it, and when to remove it.
2. Either at Land's Sake, or at home, creating your scarecrow. You can make more than one scarecrow per entry.
3. Plant your scarecrow(s) in the designated location(s), any time before Oct. 6.
