Letter to the Editor: Comfort Taken in How Ben is Remembered
A letter to the editor from Anne Sandalls.

To the Editor:
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the passing of our son, Benjamin. In the years since, my husband Bill and I have found comfort in how Ben is remembered through the programs at the Weston Public Schools that are sponsored by the Ben Sandalls Memorial Fund. Ben was particularly attracted to writing, story-telling and illustration, so the programs over the years have been what we imagine he would have enjoyed thoroughly.
This year’s program, which was held at the Woodland and Country schools last week, featured energetic and stimulating presentations by the noted author of children’s books, Janet Wong. Bill and I would like to take note of the success of last week’s program as well as all the programs of past years. We also
want to thank the Weston PTO Creative Arts Committee, WEEFC and the many teachers and librarians whose efforts have made the program a perennial high point of the school year. Finally we extend a very special and heart-felt thank you to Pat Keogh, who has been a strong supporter of the program since its inception.
