Maynard Woman Busted for Weston Restaurant Theft

The woman allegedly stole a pocketbook from a Weston restaurant.

A Maynard woman has been charged with theft from Dairy Joy in Weston, according to Weston Police.

Yaijaira Pantoja, 27, of Maynard, was arrested on Aug. 5 and charged with larceny from a building after she allegedly stole a pocketbook at the restaurant, according to police. The pocketbook belonged to a Dairy Joy worker. 

Maynard Police arrested her after Weston Police obtained an arrest warrant. She was later transported to the Weston Police Department.

According to police, surveillance footage from the Dairy Joy shows Pantoja in the employee area. Police later tracked Pantoja to a restaurant in Maynard when she allegedly attempted to use a credit card from the pocketbook, police said.

Weston Police are continuing their investigation to determine if another woman was involved in the theft, police said.
