Nobody Hurt in Weston CO Incident

Nobody was hurt on Tuesday after elevated levels of carbon monoxide were discovered at Bruegger's Bagels in Weston, according to Weston Fire Chief David Soar.

Fire crews were called to the scene on Center St. at 8:38 a.m. for a report of the carbon monoxide detector beeping at the store, according to Soar. Firefighters arrived and quickly detected similar levels and evacuated the store. Firefighters eventually determined the source of the issue -- a gas-powered piece of equipment used to make bagels, Soar said.

"It was just not burning correctly," Soar said, noting a worker later fixed the equipment.

The store was closed for around 90 minutes and the Board of Health was notified, according to Soar.
