The Golden Ball Tavern Museum is open for our annual Holiday Extravaganza - "Trimming the Tavern "Here's to the Red, White and Blue". From December 8th to December 13th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and Family Friendly - visit the beautifully decorated rooms created with the theme of the 250th anniversary of the Revolution...by a team of community partners. DON"T MISS THIS! Our museum offers visitors a different perspective on the American Revolution. Our museum, housed in a historic Pre-Revolutionary home and tavern in Weston, Massachusetts, tells the other side of the story – that of the Loyalists during the War of Independence. Notably, the Museum is among only a handful of institutions in the country dedicated to bringing to life the Loyalist experience. We also tell the story of six generations of the same family living in the same house for almost 200 years! Join us to learn more about colonial life and beyond. Our last open house history tours of the museum for 2025 will be on Thursday, December 18th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and family friendly! If the weather predictions are correct, Weston stands to collect more than 18 inches of snow over the course of Friday and into Saturday morning. And while we know there are plenty of reasons to grumble about 18-plus inches of snow (the shoveling, the bad roads, the dirty snow piles, etc.), we're choosing here to focus on the positive. There are at least a few people who have admitted to being a bit excited about the prospect of some serious snow, so we know there are some people looking on the bright side.
