Starting Monday, July 29, the Merriam Street bridge will be closed for repairs, according to an announcement.
The bridge, located at the Silver Hill Commuter Rail stop, will remain closed until Sept. 30. However, the rail stop will stay open and be accessible from the North Avenue side of Merriam Street. Traffic on the south side of Merriam Street will be rerouted to Conant Road via North Avenue. Traffic going north will be sent to Conant Road via Boston Post Road.
Only local motorists will be allowed on Merriam Street during the construction period.
