Weston's Memorial Day Events Announced
The ceremony begins Monday, May 28, at 10 a.m.

Weston's Memorial Day Ceremony will be held Monday, May 28, at 10 a.m. at the Auditorium with patriotic musical selections and speakers.
U.S. Army Lt. Col. (Dr.) Timothy F. Haley will be the guest speaker. Haley recently returned from a year-long deployment in Afghanistan. He will be joined by 100-plus members of the Marching Band under the direction of Music Director Chris Memoli with soloist Crystal Evans, WHS Class of 2012.

Prayers will be led by Rev. Philip Mayher of the Congregational Church and Deacon Guy St. Sauveur of St. Julia Parish. Following the service, all Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts are invited to march in the parade led by the WHS Marching Band. The parade route starts at Town Hall, escorted by an honor guard of the Weston police and fire departments, with Weston veterans. Transportation will be provided for any veterans by the Devito’s in their antique cars.
Also welcomed are parent supervised uniformed Weston soccer and softball clubs, baseball league, or other sports teams with children's carts and decorated bicycles. Memorial wreaths will be laid at Old Farmer's Cemetery and Linwood Cemetery with taps played by Weston High School trumpeters — Sam Cekala and Clark Eglinton.
