The Golden Ball Tavern Museum is open for our annual Holiday Extravaganza - "Trimming the Tavern "Here's to the Red, White and Blue". From December 8th to December 13th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and Family Friendly - visit the beautifully decorated rooms created with the theme of the 250th anniversary of the Revolution...by a team of community partners. DON"T MISS THIS! Our museum offers visitors a different perspective on the American Revolution. Our museum, housed in a historic Pre-Revolutionary home and tavern in Weston, Massachusetts, tells the other side of the story – that of the Loyalists during the War of Independence. Notably, the Museum is among only a handful of institutions in the country dedicated to bringing to life the Loyalist experience. We also tell the story of six generations of the same family living in the same house for almost 200 years! Join us to learn more about colonial life and beyond. Our last open house history tours of the museum for 2025 will be on Thursday, December 18th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and family friendly! The Town of Weston is seeking a new member for its <a href="http://www.westhistcomm.org/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Historical Commission. </a> The seven-member group meets every three or four weeks to administer the town's demolition by-law, CPA-funded projects and other restoration efforts. Also, members would conduct site walks and work outside of meetings.   Any resident with knowledge and experience in design, architecture and history are encouraged to apply. Applicants can email a letter to selectman@westonmass.org by June 14 or send a letter to the Weston Board of Selectman, P.O. Box 378, Weston, MA, 02493.
