The Golden Ball Tavern Museum is open for our annual Holiday Extravaganza - "Trimming the Tavern "Here's to the Red, White and Blue". From December 8th to December 13th, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and Family Friendly - visit the beautifully decorated rooms created with the theme of the 250th anniversary of the Revolution...by a team of community partners. DON"T MISS THIS! Our museum offers visitors a different perspective on the American Revolution. Our museum, housed in a historic Pre-Revolutionary home and tavern in Weston, Massachusetts, tells the other side of the story – that of the Loyalists during the War of Independence. Notably, the Museum is among only a handful of institutions in the country dedicated to bringing to life the Loyalist experience. We also tell the story of six generations of the same family living in the same house for almost 200 years! Join us to learn more about colonial life and beyond. Our last open house history tours of the museum for 2025 will be on Thursday, December 18th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Free and family friendly! Weston will honor its veterans on Nov. 11 with a ceremony at Weston Town Hall. The ceremony will begin at 10:55 a.m. with an introduction by Donald F. Bumpus. The full program will feature recognition of Weston's veterans as well as a recognition of the U.S. Marine Corps Birthday on Nov. 10. A Weston High School buglar will perform "Taps," and guest speaker John P. Obusek, director of U.S. Army Natick Soldier Research, will offer remarks. The full schedule is attached as a PDF the public is invited to attend. The program is expected to conclude shortly after 11:30 a.m. at which point participants and guests are invited to attend a collation.
