Weston Will Keep Markey as Congressman
The district remains largely the same, though it will now be known as the Fifth District.
In response to a falling population, Massachusetts legislators have settled on a proposed congressional district map.
The new map keeps Weston in the same district, which continues to be represented by Rep. Edward Markey (D-Malden). However, the district switches numbers from the Seventh to the Fifth, and the composition of towns is different.
The district will now stretch from Holliston and Ashland all the way up to Woburn and Winchester.
