5 Things July 2: Chess Club & Dinosaur Story Time at the West Roxbury Library

  1. Today and Wednesday children from toddlers to Grade 8 can register for the Summer Reading Program at the West Roxbury Library. Pick up reading packet and register for special events. 10 a.m. 1961 Centre St.
  2. On Wednesday, enjoy Dinosaur Story Time with dinosaur stories and make paper bag dinosaur puppets at the West Roxbury Library. For ages 4-8. Free. 10:30-11:30 a.m.
  3. Also Wednesday at the library - Chessmaster Charlie moderates the Ted D'Amato Chess Club, occurring on Monday and Wednesday afternoons in the summer. 2:30-5:30 p.m. This is for chess players of all levels, come and learn the game or come and practice. This program is funded by the Friends of the West Roxbury Branch Library.
  4. Due to the July 4th holiday trash and recycling normally collected on Thursday or Friday will be delayed one day.
