  1. The West Roxbury-Roslindale Rotary scholarship application for high school seniors who live in West Roxbury and Roslindale is now available. The deadline for application submissions is June 30. Email rotaryo­fwestroxbu­ryroslindale@­gmail.­com for more info.
  2. The annual Friends of the West Roxbury Library Book Sale continues through June 7 during regular library hours, and June 8 until noon.
  3. On Saturday you can buy tickets for the West Roxbury Garden Tour happening on June 22, at Shaw's Market. 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Raffle tickets for $1 or 6 for $5 will be sold - prizes including Red Sox tickets, facials, fine wining & dining, manicures, car washes, dry cleaning and more.
  4. The West Roxbury YMCA is leading a free Zumba class from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. at the Roslindale Village Farmers' Market behind the memorial adjacent to the children's area on Saturday. Adams Park, Roslindale.
  5. Massachusetts' state dog is the Boston terrier.
