Andrea Leary, Executive Director of the local chapter, North Shore TMA, presented Clausen with the award at the Black Rose in Faneuil Hall on Dec. 13.
Clausen told Patch, "I also have been working with local stakeholders to improve non motorized modes of transportation and public transportation. Examples are recently working with City administration and city council to adopt a bicycle and pedestrian master plan, and adopt a complete street policy." Beverly applied for and won the Complete Streets grant of$400,000 from MassDOT in October to rebuild Broadway with improved pedestrian and bicycle amenities. Clausen has been on the TMA board for almost three years.
