Last week, 20 students of Catholic Memorial High School in West Roxbury received buzz-cut style haircuts to raise awareness for the upcoming “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” walk this weekend.
The walk is set for Sunday, Oct. 5, and 300 students have already signed up to participate, according to CM.

As part of the fundraising effort, the CM cafeteria was turned into a makeshift barbershop, during which two teachers served as barbers. The school’s Latin Club charged $10 per cut; students also donated $3 each in exchange for wearing a bow tie to school.
