
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the city of Boston due to heavy rains in the area.
is bringing more than two inches of rain per hour to the South End and the rest of the city, the NWS reported.
"Flash flooding of small streams and urban areas is occuring or imminent," the warning read.

Anyone living in an area prone to flooding should head for higher ground immediately. Drivers should avoid flooded roads and turn back if water levels look too deep to cross safely.
The flash flood warning is in effect until 6:15 p.m. tonight.
