Monday Essentials: Labor Day, Kindergarten Party at Library, & Back-to-School Hotline
There will be a free kindergarten party at the West Roxbury Library at 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
- Monday is Labor Day. Here's a list of what's open and closed in Boston.
- On Tuesday there is a Kindergarten Days Party at the West Roxbury Library at 11 a.m. This party is for children entering a Boston Public School kindergarten this fall. Stop by for free fun including story time, arts and crafts, face painting, snacks and music.
- The first day of school is Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013,
- The Boston Public Schools back-to-school hotline is 617-635-9046. The hotline is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beginning the first day of school (Wed., Sept. 4) the hotline will expand operating hours to 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The hotline will remain operational through September 13.
