15 protestors were arrested Thursday at the construction site of Spectra Energy’s high-pressured gas pipeline in Boston’s West Roxbury neighborhood.

The pipeline is being built beneath Centre, Grove and Washington Streets. Protestors are against the pipeline construction because it is being built close to an active blasting quarry. Many residents fear for their health and safety.

The protestors were arrested on Washington Street for stepping into the construction zone, Boston police said.

The pipeline, which also runs through Dedham and Westwood, is part of a larger project that extends all the way to New Jersey.

Dozens of protestors were arrested at the construction site back in October.

A federal judge approved the construction project in September after the city of Boston put up a fight.
