Services for Mayor Thomas Menino Will be Held Sunday, Monday

Residents from the Boston area wishing to pay their respects to former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino, who died at the age of 71 on Thursday, will have the chance to do so during a special service later this coming weekend.

Arrangements for Menino’s services were announced late Thursday night. Details on the services, which were posted to tommenino.org, can be found below. Patch will provide more information related to arrangements as it becomes available.

• Mayor Thomas Menino will lie in state at Faneuil Hall starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2. The event will be open to the public.

• A private funeral mass will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, at the Most Precious Blood Parish in Hyde Park. The event will be private and closed to the public.
