Because of this historic Boston winter:

  • According to the research firm IHS, Massachusetts’ economic loss clocks in $265 million every time state roads are shut because of weather.
  • Boston has spent $30 million on cleaning snowy roads since January 25.
  • TIME magazine reported that 237,863 miles have been plowed by Boston snow-removal crews, as of February 11.
  • 430 tons of snow melted every hour at Boston’s two municipal snow farms. The city dumps excess snow there.

Maybe some laughs will alleviate the pain. Somebody parodied the style of educational history films to create the below masterpiece.
