This Week: Paving Work on LaGrange Street​ Planned

Expect potential detours and one-way streets for a little bit longer, West Roxbury.

BOSTON, MA – Expect detours and one-way streets during additional construction this week on LaGrange Street, as the Mass. Department of Transportation continues its work on the MBTA’s Needham Commuter Rail Line.

Says MassDOT:

At the railroad bridge over LaGrange Street in West Roxbury, the MBTA’s contractor will work Saturday, December 3rd from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to install the final top course of bituminous concrete (pavement). The work will require LaGrange Street to be limited to alternating one lane/one way, vehicle traffic. Detour routes along with police details will be in place to re-route motorists.

During this work, the Needham Commuter Rail Line will not be impacted.

The MBTA’s contractor will return LaGrange Street to full capacity as soon as possible, according to MassDOT.
