West Roxbury High Student Given Citation for 12 Bags of Marijuana

The following article is based on a Boston Police report.


Boston Police issued a civil citation to a West Roxbury Education Complex student allegedly in possession of 12 small bags of marijuana.

On Sept. 6, around 8:50 a.m., two police officials told a school official that the student was coming into the school while students were being searched while entering the building. The student's backpack had a strong smell of marijuana emanating from it, according to a Boston Police report. Upon further search 12 small plastic bags individually wrapped in one sandwich bag were found in the backpack belonging to the student.

The student was given a civil citation for possession of a class D drug, marijuana. The drugs were seized.
