West Roxbury Resident Identified as South End Murder Victim

Andrew Wyman, 29, was stabbed to death Sunday morning outside Boston Medical Center.

A 29-year-old West Roxbury man was stabbed to death on Sunday morning, said Boston Police today.

Wyman died after suffering life-threatening injuries Sunday morning during a stabbing on Massachusetts Avenue near Albany Street, police reported. He was transported to Boston Medical Center where he was rushed into surgery, and later pronounced dead.

A funeral for Wyman will be held on Friday, according to an obituary posted by the Home. The obituary identifies Wyman as a resident of West Roxbury and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Police were unable to locate any suspects in the incident, although a call was put out for a white Plymouth sedan seen leaving the scene, a police spokesman said.

Massachusetts Avenue was closed off to traffic between Albany Street and Melnea Cass Boulevard while police conducted their investigation.
