FBI Joins Search For Stolen Boston Police Uniforms, Reward Up To $5K

Weymouth police are offering the reward and releasing photos of what they believe the stolen items look like.

WEYMOUTH, MA — The Weymouth Police Department and FBI are asking for the public's help in locating a missing Boston Police Officer's uniform.

On Wednesday, Weymouth police said they will be offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that could lead to the arrest of a suspect who police say stole Boston police uniforms from a uniform supply store in Weymouth last month.

Four Boston Police Department dress coats and pants – not daily wear uniforms – and a leather jacket were all possibly stolen.

Weymouth police shared photos of items similar to what they believed were stolen from Andrea's Police and Fire Supply on March 27, between 3:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. on March 28.

According to police, the FBI joined the investigation Wednesday and anyone with information on the case is urged to contact detectives via tipline@weymouth.ma.us or by calling 781-682-3533.
