Photos: Weymouth High Baseball Hosts Annual Kids Camp
The annual "Wildcat for a Day" baseball clinic was held at O'Sullivan Field on Patriots Day.
Fifty-four young baseball players in grades kindergarden through fourth participated in the "Wildcat for a Day" baseball clinic hosted by the Weymouth High School varsity, junior varsity and freshman baseball teams.
The baseball booster club has been organizing the Patriots Day clinic as a fundraiser for nearly a decade. Monday's event was held at O'Sullivan Field, the use of which was donated to the boosters by North Weymouth Youth Baseball.
The clinic is a fundraiser for the Weymouth High School baseball program. The team also holds canning events, where team members solicit donations at local businesses like Walmart, Stop and Shop, Prevites Marketplace, Uncle Charlie's and Bob's Muffin Shop.
Kelley's Frostie Village in Weymouth also chipped in on Monday, donating pizza to the high school ballplayers who led the camp.
