Rockland Fire: Woman Rescued From 5-Alarm Blaze

ROCKLAND, MA — Firefighters rescued an unconscious woman from a five-alarm fire that raged overnight in a Rockland home.

More than 20 people were displaced after the fire, which broke out in a mixed-use building on East Water Street shortly before 1 a.m. No injuries were reported aside from the woman who was rushed to South Shore Hospital, where she is expected to recover.

Fire departments from some dozen communities responded to the blaze. It took less than an hour to get it under control.
