Weymouth Man ID'd As Victim In Boston Shooting

A South Weymouth man died after suffering an apparent gunshot wound in the 200 block of Tremont Street in Boston earlier this month.

WEYMOUTH, MA — A South Weymouth man has been identified as the victim of a Boston shooting that occurred in the theater district earlier this month, police said Tuesday.

The victim, 34-year-old Branden P. Barrett, of South Weymouth, was found with an apparent gunshot wound in the 200 block of Tremont Street at 9:21 p.m. on December 11.

Barrett died a few days later at a local hospital and an autopsy conducted on Sunday ruled his manner of death a homicide, according to police.
