The victim, 34-year-old Branden P. Barrett, of South Weymouth, was found with an apparent gunshot wound in the 200 block of Tremont Street at 9:21 p.m. on December 11. Barrett died a few days later at a local hospital and an autopsy conducted on Sunday ruled his manner of death a homicide, according to police. The Boston Police Department urges anyone with information to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470. Community members can leave an anonymous tip by calling the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or by texting the word 'TIP' to CRIME (27463).
