Celebrate the turning of the year right here in Great Barrington with Crescendo’s radiant New Year’s Concert, hosted at the beautiful Saint James Place. This shimmering program features the extraordinary artistry of violinist Edson Scheid and harpsichordist Christine Gevert, who together bring to life the brilliant music of Baroque composer Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre — a pioneering and visionary figure of the French Baroque.
Experience the elegance, virtuosity, and expressive depth of Jacquet de La Guerre’s works, illuminated through Edson’s captivating violin performance and Christine’s inspired continuo playing. It’s an intimate, vibrant musical celebration — the perfect way to welcome the New Year.
