Multiple Reports of Stolen Gas From Hess Express

The following is an excerpt from the Wilmington Police log from Monday, April 30 to Wednesday, May 2.
Monday, April 30
- At 7:58 a.m., police attempted to make contact with a student who did not report to school. Police later found the student and transported the student to school.
- At 8:09 a.m., the Wilmington Fire Department responded to Faulkner Avenue for a report of smoke in the basement.
- At 10 a.m., a resident of Barbara Avenue reported losing their dog.
- At 10:30 a.m., a resident of Cunningham Street reported a woman, known to him, standing on his lawn yelling and swearing at him.
- At 11:27 a.m., Hess Express on Main Street reported someone drove away without paying $15 in gas. The party later returned and paid.
- At 11:42 a.m., police were called to for a report of larceny. An employee reported $25 in hair products were stolen. Police caught up with the suspect and the person paid for the products. The person was issued a no trespass order.
- At 12:46 p.m. Animal Control left a written warning for a resident on Loumac Road, noting they must get a permit for keeping chickens by the end of the week.
- At 1:07 p.m., police arrested Edward Chandler, 25, 33 Durant St., Lowell, on a warrant.
- At 2:37 p.m., an elderly female pumped $47 in gas at Hess Express and drove off without paying.
- At 5:47 p.m., a Wilmington man was issued a summons on Main Street for driving after license suspension.
- At 9:42 p.m., a person told police her mother died and neighbors saw a male checking the house at night. The person requested extra patrols on Carolyn Road.
- At 10:32 p.m., police issued a summons to a Burlington man on charges of driving with a suspended registration and having a vehicle not meeting safety standards.
Tuesday, May 1

- At 5:35 p.m., people siphoning fuel from trucks on Jewel Dr. were reported. The people were gone when police arrived. A be on the look out alert was sent to area departments.
- At 8:13 p.m., police arrested Abilio R. Casanola, 51, 101 Lowell Rd., North Reading, and charged him with driving after license suspension, lights violation and having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.
- At 9:17 p.m., harassing phone calls were reported on Main Street.
Wednesday, May 2
- At 6:10 a.m., a resident of Woburn Street reported an elderly woman on the side of the road who looked disoriented. The woman was later found at
- At 6:16 a.m., Hess Express reported a taxi drove off with $63 of gas without paying.
- At 7:53 a.m., police received a report of a person struck by a car on Main Street. The vehicle and pedestrian left the area. When police found the pedestrian, the man said he was not injured and refused medical attention. The man told police he spoke to the driver and said it was fine.
